What Men Think: Should Prostitution Be Legalized In Nigeria?
Nigerian prostitutes have recently come out to protest the
legalization of their job in the country, even matching on the streets
and carrying boards saying SEX WORKERS HAVE RIGHTS but are they pushing
it too far? Here is what Men think about this fight.
Sadly, prostitution is NOT Legalized in Nigeria but there are some popular sex workers - like Patoo Abraham - who believe its something the Federal Government should look into. According to her and those she's trying to help, "Sex Workers Have Rights"
and should be respected by the law as well as human beigns. Well, the
thing is not every one agrees but because MEN are the ones using these
prostitutes often times, we are asking OUR MEN if Sex Workers should be
given the right to practice what they do in Nigeria. Here's what they
think:
"I don't even have a problem with them
being there or here. I don't do whores so this fight is just useless to
my candid opinion". Besided, some of these girls can kill because they
have no feelings at all. they are like devils - Kayode, Lagos
"Why
should women stoop so low as do prostitution and then fight to have
rights! What rights in the first place? They are a bunch of confused
female who have adapted to laziness and are finding the easiest way to
make money. So NO Legalization!" - James, UK
"Men
should shut up when they can't find anything reasonable to say.
Prostitution is a job nowadays and those who do it actually work hard to
earn their money but sometimes they are being raped, used for rituals
or disowned by family. So because they are sex workers, Government
should not protect them from evil?" - Anthony Abuja
"No,
No,No! Prostitution should never be legalized in Nigeria. This is
because its a shameful and demonic business. No parent or sibling will
clap hands for a daughter who is into this so i see no reason why they
should be given any rights. It's shameful!" - Kola, Abuja
"Who
thinks to have sex multiple times in a day or a week is not hard work?
That's crazy and i applaud those who do it just to make ends meet. For
me, the Government should take a look into this and see what they can do
to make it feel less shameful." - Bayo, Ogun State
"Jesus
forgave the prostitute in the bible and then asked her to discontinue
the practice. So, prostitution should not be legalized in my country.
Jesus didn't encourage it either!" - Pius - Abia State
"While
growing up, I was dis-virgined by a prostitute and I thank her everyday
for that (in my mind). They are useful too to most young boys now but
only thing is, condoms should always be used. I know what i know today
because of that girl." - Andrew - Port Harcourt.
"I
don't care whatsoever, Prostitutes should be caught, charged and
jailed. They are a disgrace to the society and to humaity. Sex is a
sacred between a man and wife. Good enough, we sin by committing
fornication but sex can't be for sale too!" - Ortis, Ibadan
"I
think the people who are pushing these useless girls are these useless
rich men who are greedy and just want women to satisfy them by doing the
oddest things. These same men kill these girls for money rituals and
believe they were even useless anyways. I think the Government should
not legalize prostitution." - Abbas, Delta State
